I am an activist in many different fields in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. For the past 7 years I have been working as a mental health survivor and assisting others who have experienced the mental health system. One of the major deficiencies of our system is that it forces many to declare that they are permanently disabled in order to obtain benefits. Unfortunately these monthly payments don’t enable people to afford an average one bedroom apartment. This leaves too many vulnerable to exploitation by family, unethical landlords, rooming houses and roommates who take their money. This is system I am helping to change as a member of the Milwaukee City County Commission on Supportive Housing. It is time to put a little color on this situation.

Thanks for your visit. My latest message about Facing the clinicians was partially inspired by you.
If you are writing on a newspaper’s website on a specific issue are you considered a website columnist or a blogger? What separates the two?.
